Surgical Mission Trips
Sharing the Gift of Smiles to Needy Communities
Dr. Zebovitz, a passionate humanitarian, participates in scores of international surgical missions providing free surgery to those in need. Offering hope and bright new smiles to families in the Philippines, East Africa and the Caribbean, Dr. Zebovitz corrects and manages congenital cleft lip and palate deformities. Counting these experiences as the most gratifying of his life’s work, Dr. Zebovitz plans to continue promoting his missions as he travels across the continents.
Dr. Zebovitz also serves needy communities close to home, offering free services to the poor by volunteering with Donated Dental. He also serves at Anne Arundel Medical Center’s free dental clinic at the Stanton Center in Annapolis.
To date, Dr. Zebovtiz has participated in more than a dozen surgical mission trips. His most recent trip took place during the first quarter of 2009, when he traveled to Sorsogon, Philippines as the chief of a multi-specialty surgical team, where his responsibilities included team recruiting and medical supplies management.
Dr. Zebovitz finances most of his own mission efforts, donating approximately $15,000 per trip listed. He maintains the rewards are well worth the investment!
